In the begining...
The Prisoe dream begins in the year of 1993 when Rumen and Gichka Baltadjievi begin with the fisrt trials of craft winemaking. Many years later the family manages to purchase the property of their dreams. The parcel of land is located 20 kilometeres west of the city of Varna next to the natural phenomenon - The Stone Forrest. The Terroir is perfect for vinegrowing because it's and excellent combination between pure quartz sand of once ocean bed and the sea breeze.
The Vineyards...
The first vine of Chardonnay is planted in the spring of 2007. The following year to the vineyard are added Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The latest expansion is in 2019 with the local, white, aromatic grape variety - Vrachanski Misket.
Currently the size of the vineyards is close to 4.5 hectares. All operations on the vines are perfromed solely by the family in pursuit of gentle and consistent quality care. This is a guarantee for optimal yield and high quality grape.
By maintaining full control over the cultivation process, the family can implement sustainable practices that protect the environment and enhance the natural flavors of the grapes. Each vintage is a reflection of their dedication and passion, resulting in wines that truly embody the essence of the vineyard.
The winery...
The winery is built in 2006 after careful plaling for optimal design. Situated directly in front of the vineyards, the location is a deliberate choice to emphasize our belief that the grape and the wine must go hand in hand. This proximity ensures that the grapes, grown under ideal conditions, are quickly and efficiently processed to preserve their quality and character.
The winemaking is overseen by the young and talented oenologist, Stefan Baltadjiev, who is also the heir of the winery. Stefan brings a fresh perspective and innovative approaches to winemaking, backed by a deep understanding of both the science and the art of oenology. His dedication to excellence and passion for crafting exceptional wines are evident in every bottle produced.
